This book is a heartfelt tribute to the beauty of the Greek island, Sifnos: Its people, landscapes, flora and fauna, the white villages, the countless churches and everything else that defines the essence of the island in the Aegean Sea.
We have chosen to focus especially on the houses, the old, original ones as well as the newer homes built in harmony with the architectural traditions of the island. The book is capturing the authentic life of Sifnos over nearly five decades, from 1975 to 2024, presented by the evocative photographs of Per Nagel. His deep love for this magnificent Greek island is palpable in every image, radiating warmth and appreciation.
The two editors and “Sifnos Lovers”, Danish Vibe Udsen and Greek Efthimios Kalos, are guiding you through the island’s many wonders and presenting you with the stories behind what you see.
The first printing of the book was launched this spring on Sifnos and sold out immediately. We are delighted to announce that SIFNOS Vol.1, is now available for purchase on our website.
